Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber

The Government Office for Yorkshire and The Humber works with organisations across the Region to deliver Government policies and programmes and to contribute a regional perspective in their development. This includes transport, health, culture, education and the environment. AFC work with Government Office to ensure the support and development of faith involvement in all work.

Yorkshire Forward

Yorkshire Forward was set up by Government to promote sustainable economic development throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region. One of England's nine Regional Development Agencies (RDAs), we are a business led organisation that aims to help improve the region’s relative economic performance and reduce social and economic. Yorkshire Forward provide funding to AFC as a contributor to cohesion in the region.

Churches Regional Commission for Yorkshire and the Humber (CRC)

The Churches Regional Commission for Yorkshire and the Humber CRC aims to represent the churches at regional level; to raise the profile of faith; and to encourage churches to be partners in regeneration. Founded in 1998, CRC worked in partnership to create the Yorkshire and Humber Faiths Forum (see below). CRC provides funding to AFC to support its work and the ICLS.

Yorkshire and Humber Faiths Forum

Launched in December 2005, the Forum aims to:

advance the contribution of faith communities in the Yorkshire and Humber region;
encourage and educate faith communities to work together in matters of policy, strategy and action
challenge all forms of discrimination and injustice against persons or groups of people, particularly in the grounds of religious belief
