Jane Daguerre - Chief Executive
Jane has worked in the voluntary sector for nearly twenty years in a range of roles.
Before becoming Chief Executive of Active Faith Communities she established Leeds Voice as the Community Empowerment Network for Leeds and ran it for eight years. Leeds Voice works both strategically and at a grassroots level, focussing on thematic and geographic forum development and identification and support of voluntary, community and faith sector representatives.
Prior to establishing Leeds Voice she has worked as a Basic Skills Co-ordinator, Volunteer Co-ordinator, Programme Manager and a Development Manager. These roles have given her a wide range of experience and she has worked widely with the diverse communities of Leeds. Working at a grassroots level has given her a keen insight into the needs of our communities and those of the voluntary, community and faith sector which works so hard to serve them. Having worked with members of a range of faith communities over the years she has directly witnessed the level of positive involvement that faith communities can have within the wider community.
