Resources

In addition to providing direct support to faiths based initiatives, AFC is building a network of projects, programme and people engaged in this area of work, providing essential links, shared experience, inspiration and good practice. This information is available through personal contact, and eventually will be provided as an online resource through this website.  See below for types of support available.

AFC aims to create opportunities for mutual learning, growth and support among those who best know what the needs of their communities are. Using the experience of people and groups engaged in faith-based community regeneration and renewal on the ground AFC is also working to influence future policy and practice at local, regional and national levels.

Our E-Bulletins have up to date funding information.

Ready Access Support for Faith-based Community Groups and Project

Thanks to funding from West Yorkshire Grants, AFC is able to offer a range of easy access support to faith-based groups involved in projects and activities benefiting the wider community:

-Telephone Advice

You can access this service by calling 0845 658 0388 between 10.30am and 3.00pm when you will be able to speak to one of our advisers.   If we cannot help you immediately we will arrange a time to ring you back or arrange an appointment if your enquiry cannot be dealt with simply over the phone.

- Internet resources

AFC publishes a regular e-bulletin with up to date information about funding and other resources relevant to the faith-based community and voluntary sector.   The bulletin links to our website where additional information can be found.   If you would like to be added to our e-mailing list, please contact the office.

- Office Resources

AFC has software and directories providing the most up to date information about funding sources and forms of support available to faith-based community groups and projects.   You are welcome to visit our office in Kirkstall, Leeds to make use of these.   Please ring to make an appointment first.

- Hot-desks

AFC is able to offer sessional use of desk and IT facilities to small groups in the initial stages of their development.   We also have limited capacity to rent out desk space for one or two groups needing a longer term base in a shared, supported office environment.   Please ring to enquire about availability.

- Meeting Rooms

We have two meeting rooms (1 for up to 12 people, the other for a maximum of 8) which are available for occasional one-off use (or hire by funded groups) by faith-related community organisations.    Please contact the Administrator to enquire about use.
